A small work of architecture.
The design of the DUE handle takes on the figure of a “handle archetype,” a small work of architecture capable of conceptually forming an ideal bridge between the human body, industrial design and architecture. The figure becomes primeval through the transformation of the two traditional functional elements, the grip and the plate, into a pair of slender parallelepipeds, perfectly equal: a solution of essential sculptural force.
At the same time, the work of formal synthesis reduces the relationship between the door and the space to a degree close to zero, getting beyond factors of style and scale of the host: a universal handle application.
A solution of essential sculptural force: its figure becomes primeval through the transformation of the two traditional functional elements, the grip and the plate, into a pair of slender parallelepipeds, perfectly equal.
