The beauty of design is accentuated by the understanding of the raw material, by respecting and visually underlining the structure of wood, creating a unique quality of aesthetics and an elegant structure.
Production process
The Latus bench is brought to life through a meticulous blend of modern precision and traditional craftsmanship. The process begins with the careful selection of high-quality, sustainably sourced hardwoods, chosen for their strength, durability, and natural beauty. Each wooden element is cut and shaped with precision CNC technology to achieve clean lines and smooth curves that define the bench’s elegant silhouette. The frame is assembled using advanced joinery techniques to ensure structural integrity, while the surfaces are hand-sanded to perfection. The final shaping is done by artisans, who refine every edge and contour to enhance the bench’s tactile appeal. The wood is then treated with natural oils or finishes that protect the surface while highlighting the intricate grain patterns, adding warmth and depth to the piece. For added comfort, the bench can be optionally upholstered, with high-resilience foam and carefully fitted fabric or leather, tailored to complement the wood’s natural elegance. After a final quality inspection, the finished bench embodies both strength and sophistication – a timeless piece built to last for generations.
